New feature: bonus points in leagues
In addition to having a fixed set of points for a win, lose or draw, some leagues can award teams an extra bonus point under certain circumstances and we've now added this to the website. An example of such a league is rugby's Heineken Cup, where a team is awarded a bonus point if they score 4 or more tries.
This feature came from a request by user squashlibre and we were more than happy to help. |

sportbo.com gets a tidy
We've been working hard here lately to tidy up the site a bit, getting the different blocks to align nicely and generally making the whole look and feel alot more consistent. We've also made the secondary blue (i.e. the lighter, softer blue) a bit darker, as it was hard to see on certain screens. For techies out there, the site is now fully XHTML Strict 1.0 compliant, something we're quite pleased about! |

New Feature: free text search
We've added a new box to the home page where users can now easily search all pages of the site for a given set of search terms. You now no longer need to specify whether you want to search for events, users etc. Also, the search box is in a much easier place to find and use, making it easier to find the sports results, sports events and/or sportsorganisations you're looking for. |

New Feature: unknown scores in cups
This is something we've had a few requests for, so we've decided to implement it. Now, if you know the winner of a particular cup match, but don't know the exact score, so can simply select the winner of the match. This should facilitate the prompt maintenance of cup tables and will hopefully be a welcome feature to users. |

Printable versions
After an initial trial run on cups, we've tweaked our printable versions and rolled it out for all event types. So now, no matter what type of sporting event or sports results, there'll be a nice printable version, with all advertising, log-in boxes etc. cut out. |

New Feature: detailed league views
There is now an option to view a breakdown of results for a given league in a two dimensional table via the new 'Show detailed view' link at the bottom of each page. Initially the table is hidden and will be revealed when the link is clicked on. There's also an explanation, giving information on how to read/understand the table. |

New Feature: RSS feeds
sportbo.com news is now available as an RSS feed. Along with this we've a new 'News' page, where you can view all historical news posts. This was mainly an exercise in RSS - we are now planning to roll RSS feeds out site-wide, with updates for each events. Subscribe to the feed to keep up to date of any changes! |

New Feature: easier browsing
Easier browsing on sportbo.com! It's now easier to find the sports results you need via the new drop-down menu under the 'Search' tab. You can view lists of sporting events by sport, user or event name. You can still access the free-text search by clicking on the 'Search' tab, as before. |

sportbo.com adds search engine optimisation
We realised that we hadn't posted a news item in a while, so thought it was time to rectify that! We've been busy here at sportbo, although the changes have all been in the background, so may not be too evident. We've mainly been focused on enhancing our Search Engine Optimisation features, in order to get a higher ranking for sports events on this site in Google et al. In addition to that we've been ironing out a few bugs, as well as adding such things as the expandable page width (comes in handy for bigger cups and swiss-system tournaments), the 'Share' link and more. |

New Feature: 2 new event types
Well, we've been busy here at sportbo.com with 2 new event types for you to add scores to. The first is a Points Based Competition, for e.g. golf or gymnastics, while the second is a Swiss System Competition, which is often used in squash or chess tournaments. For the latter, we've also implemented a new interface for entering scores, which we will be rolling out across all events in the near future. |

sportbo.com gets a new logo! Added the line 'sports results management' below the main site name to instantly give new users a feel for what the site's about. In additiion to this, we've added functionality for users to upload a logo of their own, to be displayed on their homepage and events pages. |

New Feature: expandable competitor lists
Added feature to collapse/expand list of a user's teams and individuals when they log in to the Members Home page. If a user has alot of competitors, this list can get quite long, so this feature will tidy their home page up a bit. |

sportbo.com goes live! Welcome to the new site from all of us here at sportbo.com . It's taken a while to get here but we've finally made it. Until we have some events, check out the Sample User section to get an idea of what we can offer. Also, keep checking back regularly as we add new functionality, details of which will be made available in this section. |
